PT Oil Terminal Karimun Meets Regional CPP Needs with Six-Tank Conversion (120,000 CBM)
Karimun, Indonesia – August 1, 2025 – PT Oil Terminal Karimun (“PT OTK”) has successfully completed the conversion of six storage tanks, adding 120,000 cubic meters (CBM) of capacity dedicated to clean petroleum products (CPP). This strategic upgrade enables PT OTK to better serve growing regional demand for gasoil, gasoline, and other clean fuels.
The conversion project involved the transformation of existing fuel oil storage infrastructure to meet stringent CPP specifications. This included full tank cleaning, and the installation of upgraded loading, pumping, and safety systems.
“This expansion reflects our commitment to aligning terminal capabilities with evolving market needs,” said Yos Effendy, President Director of PT OTK. “With these six tanks now CPP-ready, we can provide our customers with enhanced flexibility, faster turnaround, and the assurance of product quality.”
The additional CPP capacity positions PT OTK as a key logistics hub for clean fuels in the region, offering strategic advantages such as proximity to major shipping lanes, competitive Free Trade Zone benefits, and robust compliance with international safety and environmental standards.
